| Note | Carol Peta, 62, Mitchell, died Monday, November 20, 2006 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be Saturday 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Mitchell. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6-8PM Friday evening at the Bittner Funeral Chapel.
Carol Jean Peta was born October 21, 1944 at Pukwana, SD to Emil and Dorothy (Michalek) Hoelker. She moved to Mitchell with her family and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1962. She married Larry Peta October 21, 1962 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell. She worked in the Physical Therapy Department at St. Joseph Hospital. She was a caregiver, enjoyed baking for others especially over the holidays and traveling with her husband Pete. She loved country western music, spending time with her family and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile.
